📒Validator Involvement in Decentralized Sequencing
Through the staking of TAOVM tokens, validators become the linchpin of BittensorVM’s sequencing operations, undertaking critical roles such as:
Transaction Management: Validators are tasked with gathering transactions directly from users or from L1 (for withdrawal operations from L2 back to L1), orchestrating these transactions within the L2 environment.
Transaction Receipt Issuance: Post-transaction processing, validators issue receipts, providing immediate proof of soft finality. This mechanism ensures users receive prompt acknowledgment of their transactions, awaiting batch finalization and L1 commitment.
Consensus Mechanism Engagement: BittensorVM’s decentralized sequencer breaks away from the norm by enabling validators to achieve consensus on the order and execution of transactions. This collaborative verification fortifies the soft finality assurance, distinguishing it from the centralized sequencing practices of traditional rollups.
Batch Processing and State Verification: Validators work in concert to batch transactions for submission to L1 in calldata form. Alongside this data, they also submit the pre- and post-transaction state roots, crucial for the L1 blockchain to verify state changes accurately.
